I’m Siobhan Dreelan: a teacher, knowledge keeper, wanderer, and child of the earth. I embrace the glass half-full perspective, embodying a spirit of curiosity that drives me to explore new experiences.
As a Spiritual Wholeness Coach, I bring over a decade of personal and shared experience in healing our spirit — encompassing historical, intergenerational, social, political, and the everyday struggles we face. My approach weaves together the wisdom of Western practices and the rich traditions of Turtle Island (North America) Indigenous cultures.
For much of my life, I sought refuge from the burdens of my community—grappling with poverty, mental health challenges, addiction, and the spectre of suicide. This environment blocked joy, strained relationships, and led to isolation, making it hard to celebrate others’ achievements. Consequently, my connections weakened under such health burdens, causing pain that overshadowed shared happiness.
After realising that life is a journey and that I must travel light, I embarked on a transformative healing journey rooted in the collective memory of my ancestry, which has continually restored my autonomy, free will, and inner peace.

As a Spiritual Wholeness Coach, I believe all-our-relations are fundamentally intertwined with our overall health. They shape not only our emotional wellbeing but also our physical conditions, influencing everything from stress levels to immune function. The connections we forge with family, friends, community, nature, and the cosmos provides a crucial support system that can buffer against the adversities of life.
My Story
Growing up in a small town in Northern Alberta, Canada, I navigated a landscape riddled with toxicity, racism, and discrimination. As a young girl, my existence was overshadowed by a painful struggle for acceptance; I was perceived as an inconvenience in a setting that offered little warmth or understanding. The historical context of racism against Indigenous peoples in Canada was a weight I did not comprehend fully at the time. What I did understand, however, was that I was seen as “less-than,” a narrative that was tragically normalised around me. This consciousness birthed a profound sense of shame and fear, entwined with my identity as a member of the Cree Nation.
In my adolescent years, I encountered a group of girls whose cruelty manifested in physical violence, brandishing their actions as mere sport. They relished in the act of beating an “Indian,” a term that cut deeply with its intent. In those moments, I made a conscious choice not to yield to fear. I crafted a resilient exterior, yet beneath that façade, I silently screamed for help. The emotional turmoil soon spiralled into a battle with depression, culminating in attempts to escape it all through suicide.
Then came the pivotal moment—drugs entered my life. By the age of fourteen, I had been introduced to mushrooms and ecstasy. Surprisingly, these substances revealed a side of me that had remained hidden behind thick walls of insecurity. In those euphoric experiences, I felt an exhilarating sense of surrender, a fleeting liberation from the burdens I had unconsciously carried. However, as with all things ephemeral, the euphoria waned, the intoxication turned into a thin veil masking a more profound struggle. I gradually fell into the stereotype society expected of me, conforming to a narrative I could not grasp as a child.
As I stood at the precipice of self-destruction, clarity emerged amidst the chaos; I realised I could not continue down this path. A commitment crystallised within me—“I can’t live like this!” I embarked on a journey to restore my life, to cleanse myself of the substances that had once offered fleeting solace. With determination, I began to prioritise my physical well-being. The simple acts of self-care blossomed into a holistic transformation, mending not only my body but also my frail mental state.
Through consistency and time, I rediscovered my clarity; I conjured dreams, set goals, and dared to envision a future I had long believed unattainable. The strength I cultivated in my early years, though forged in adversity, now fuelled a profound resilience. My narrative evolved from one of survival to one of empowerment, reminding me that my identity, rich and complex, holds the power to define not only my past but also the course of my future.
Graduating with Honours in Multicultural and Indigenous Studies, specialising in Racism and Critical Theory, has been a transformative journey for me. As a third-generation residential school survivor, I have dedicated over a decade to fostering understanding and dialogue between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. This pursuit has been steeped in a profound commitment to embracing our collective inheritance of truth.
In my role as a passionate and motivational lecturer, mentor, and knowledge keeper, I engage with the complexities and nuances of our shared histories. My recent work revolves around community engagement and programme development at an Indigenous Healing facility in Canada, a welcoming space for individuals from all walks of life. Here, I worked closely with both urban and rural communities to enhance wellness initiatives, demonstrating the power of collaborative efforts in healing.
Currently residing in Scotland, I am devoted to integrating Indigenous Ways of Knowing into local wellness programmes. My aim is to help individuals dismantle the barriers that impede compassionate relationships, drawing upon historical insights and teachings to craft actionable, meaningful change. Through this work, I strive to illuminate paths towards understanding, empathy, and collective well-being. And most importantly, to be Human.

I dedicated six years to traveling across Indigenous Nations on Turtle Island—Canada, the USA, and Mexico—immersing myself in their cultures and traditions, adhering to the protocols that honour the teachings of the land and its people.
The wisdom I have acquired is not merely academic; it is a tapestry of transferred knowledge, woven from the stories, ceremonies, and teachings shared by the Elders of these ancient cultures. It is a privilege to carry this knowledge, and I carry it with the utmost respect and responsibility, seeking to honour the voices of those who have come before me while fostering a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of all beings.
This journey continues to inform my practice and philosophy, urging a path of reconciliation and holistic wellness that embraces the sacredness of life in all its forms.
